The Island

I had a dream a few nights ago.  Mike had brought me somewhere as a surprise....it was all water and waves and large rocks.  The water was moving and swishing around us but we were standing in the middle of it all and weren't wet and it was a though we were standing on solid ground.  I kept asking how he managed to get us there...he seemed very self satisfied that he had gotten us there without me knowing.  The dream stayed with me and I influenced this painting.  I love remembering dreams.

Moon and Tree

"Moon and Tree" by me.  Rhymes.  I sat down to do something totally different and wound up painting another tree.  Ah well.

Cloudy Sky

So I was so blocked I couldn't draw which is what I like to do best but it takes a lot of focus and concentration to use the nib and ink.  So an artist friend named David Junod (www.facebook.com/David.N.Junod.Artist)  suggested I just relax and have fun with paint and just kind of mess around.  Those weren't his exact words but it was something like that.  Anyway I just slopped paint on a canvas and this is what I got.  Actually, I sat down to paint a butterfly....  and this is how my butterfly turned out.  It's not really my thing to paint like this but David was right..I just had fun and did whatever and it helped me get back into it and now I'm working on some other stuff.  Thank you David!
